Threaded onto two stainless steel rods, this piece alternates uniquely shaped walnut slats with the metallic spacers which hold them in place. When assembled, the slats create a cohesive, wave-like form.
Quiet yet entrancing, the work radiates a sense of tranquility into its surrounding space and invites reflection on the strength found in community.

Artist Input
I highly recommend mounting this piece in a sun-lit area or installing intentional lighting to really bring this piece to life. Viewers will find that every observation angle creates a totally unique appearance of this sculpture, making it a very dynamic piece.

Disclaimer
*Please note: Due to the limitations of hardwood stability and its tendency to warp over time/in humidity/with varying temperatures, it is not possible to create this design with 100% solid hardwood. Each slat alternates between solid walnut, bass wood and back to solid walnut. The resulting material is still solid wood, but is drastically more stable than walnut alone.
What a pleasure it has been to not only support a local artist, but also such an incredibly generous and kind person! You can truly see the thought and precision that went into this piece, especially with her background in engineering. It’s quickly become one of my favorite things to show friends and family and is always a showstopper whenever I have people over. Great work takes time, and I can confidently say this piece was absolutely worth the wait. I couldn’t be happier with it!
Bought this for my office as I needed some art on the final wall. I was looking intently for something local, high quality and different than just another painting.
Aubrey’s work turned out incredible. It’s exactly what I wanted and looks amazing as the light reflects differently off the wood throughout the day.
Aubrey was super responsive and great to work with. Highly recommend if you’re looking for high quality art.
Hey Evan!
Thank you so much for your feedback, I’m so happy that you love the new piece!
Nice placement by the way! One of my favorite aspects of this design style is how the piece evolves throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky. The changing shadows must be fun to watch as you work ☺️
Thank you for your support and feel free to reach out should you need anything.
Take care,
Aubrey
