About

I honestly thought I would work in corporate engineering for the rest of my life.

In 2020, I graduated college from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and immediately moved to Boulder, CO to work as a Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin. I thought this career would make me feel fulfilled and energized, after all, I finally had the prestigious job that I had worked so hard for. So why wasn’t I happy?

I continued to fight through my career doubts for the next four years. Flickers of passion kept me hopeful that one day I would learn how to be happy in the life I had built.

I’m not sure what changed inside of me, but one day I decided I couldn’t keep living for the weekend. I wanted to chase my passion for design and see where it took me! I figured, “Maybe I’ll fail, but I won’t regret having tried to make it on my own”.

So, here we are! I now spend my work week designing 3D models on the computer, cutting out products on my CNC and managing my business. I no longer have an impressive salary or flashy title, and I spend much of my time in my parents' basement, where my CNC is set up. But I am finally, truly happy. :)

I hope that my designs resonate with you, and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to share them with you!

Thank you again for stopping by and supporting small businesses! I hope that a little piece of ARO Designs finds a special place in your home!

Best,

Aubrey

PS. I wouldn’t be here without my biggest supporter - thank you for always believing in me, Dad <3
